Description
This is an original 1970 first UK pressing of Clear Blue Sky on the Vertigo label, part of a large collection of prog rock and psychedelia that was well-cared-for and stored safely by the original owner since the 70s. It’s the same pressing as documented here: https://www.discogs.com/release/1907270-Clear-Blue-Sky-Clear-Blue-Sky
The jacket is in sturdy shape, approaching VG+ over most of the surface with just a couple unfortunate blemishes, pictured here, that make it VG—a small patch of sticker residue/tear to the left of the band logo and a similar but larger surface tear to the right, as if an import sticker or other sticker was removed. There’s also a bit of ring wear on back, as pictured. The overall design of the cover conceals these problems a bit. The owner’s name is written very discreetly in pen inside the jacket opening.
The LP is in great shape. If it were a less expensive and less coveted item, I would almost feel comfortable listing it as NM-, shiny with no visible marks, and played through with minimal surface noise on my setup. Clean labels with no writing. Comes with original inner sleeve with the large Vertigo logo. Only remarkable blemish on the inner is a small tear in the poly lining, pictured.
