Hi folk lovers,
Here's a very are one, five stars in Pokoras book, if that means anything to you. I give a detailed description of the condition of vinyl & cover, as it is a very rare and expensive record. It has turned up only a couple of times recent years. In 1969 this debut LP has been released in a 500 press and the LP was also quickly withdrawn from the shops. Musically it's in the style, which Christy used all over his carreer, so a mix of folk styles, with very sharp lyrics: by example he sings very lyrically (cynical) about the IRA-bombs & raids.
Vinyl: side one looks VG++, under a strong light you'll notice several faint hairlines, but these don't affect the strong play, which is EX for side one. Side two: looks overall VG+ and plays VG++. Track B4 has a visible scratch, which causes light clicks, not too disturbing.
Cover is very beautifull: near to Mint minus; actually amazing for a cover of this age. I start with an acceptable bidprice for this super-rare album.
