EL COMBO XINGU - IRT RECORDS, CHILE. From tropicalia to rock, funk to soul, psyche to pop, this long lost album from Chilean band El Combo Xingu.

This amazing Funk LP is best sought after for the following monster dancefloor funk tunes:

BAJA A LAS CHIQUILLAS ( a version of Herbie Hancock's "Bring down the birds" )

TANGA BOO GONK ( Yes, the nite-liters tune but easily the best ever version! )

HOT PANTS ( James Brown's best track done heavier than ever )

BLACK POWER ( A brilliant original tune! )

General Pinochet objected to this style of album being made so a few weeks after release most of the copies were destroyed hence it's super-rarity.

This album was nominated in his all time top ten by Funk Collector Philip Lehman in the now defunct Big Daddy Magazine.
