Description
Chet Baker Sings. Black label with silver text, deep groove; Bill Grauer Productions. Stereo. Leader Chet Baker, trumpet, vocals; with Kenny Drew, piano; George Morrow or Sam Jones, bass; Danny Richmond, drums. Recorded in NY in 1958. 10 tracks.
Cover: Good (-) 4" split on the top edge at the spine edge. 2 creases near the spine corner on the front cover. Some edge wear. An irregular 1" X 2" tear with paper loss on the bottom insert edge corner of the back cover ( 2 or 3 words are partially torn away), 1 small tear on the back cover has been repaired. Slight distortion on the back cover seems to indicate some water damage. Very light aging on the back cover.
Record: VG+ to VG++ Visually shows no wear. Played only a very few times. 1 very short, very light surface rub mark on Side 2 and a very light surface rub mark on Side 1 which is barely visible. Neither of these marks affects the sound. On Side 1, 5 light clicks on Track 2, 2 faint clicks on Track 6 and several clicks on Track 3. On Side 2, Tracks 1, 3 and 4 each have 3 or 4 light clicks. Track 2 has several clicks through both the vocal and trumpet solo. Audibly checked.
