The Cheerful Insanity Of Giles, Giles, & Fripp (Deram SPA 423) NM - NM
The first album from a group of guys that became King Crimson. Released in 1968, there are basically two stories - The saga of Rodney Toady, and Just George. The UK Import vinyl is NM, no scratches, fingerprints or spindle marks on the blue and silver Deram label. The laminated cover shows slight ring wear on the back and some "cat"damage on the upper spine.
I have had it! My music room is overstocked! I’m selling my collection. Most albums are very good to near mint condition. I have Rock, Jazz, Blues, Prog rock, Hard Rock, Folk, Electronic, Pop, Comedy, and even some Classical. In the near future, I will be putting up more albums for sale as I transfer them to CD. Audiophiles and collectors know the value and superior sound quality of vinyl over CD. I just got to the point that I don’t have the room for these dinosaurs anymore. Any CD’s or DVD’s that I sell are actual factory produced - NOT A COPY.
I have been collecting and trading heavily these last few months and have come across an astonishing collection. I had the extreme pleasure to meet and acquire a partial collection from a ROCK ICON we all know and love. Because this person is still alive and in the public eye he asked me not to divulge his name. (Ebay also bans copyright infringement) He just wanted to liquidate these items and didn't want to have to go into details about the collection he gave up. I will grant him that wish for anonymity BUT, some auction winners will undoubtedly receive one or more of "HIS" old collection for many of the albums have been marked with a recognizable identification. There will be no doubt as to previous ownership once you see the name or his mark. I would not deface any of the albums by removing his name and thereby lowering the value of the albums. That was acceptable as long as I didn't advertise or identify the name, person, or group member.
Bear in mind these are used albums - they may have scrapes or scratches (but I will tell you before you bid!) and some may carry aromas like mildew or tobacco smoke. I have collected these albums from various sources for the past 35 years, and I have adapted to certain conditions to get the music that I wanted. I have purchased records from garage and yard sales, out of basements and barns, thrift shops and swap meets. So be forewarned, they may not smell the best! Used albums always benefit from a good deep cleaning.
If you are interested in an item I am selling, I will go into great detail for you in a separate e-mail. I will e-mail extra pictures if you are interested. And ask any questions you like - as many as you like. I will do my best to answer. I use USPS Media Mail for shipping albums and all shipments use delivery confirmation for the protection of all involved.
