Chapter Four's 1966 song "In My Life" first attracted the attention of psychedelic/freakbeat fans with it's appearance on the compilation album Chocolate Soup For Diabetics Volume Three in the early 80's. Chapter Four have been rumored to have been USA harmony pop group Jay & The Americans trying their luck at a psychedelic cash in record. Whoever Chapter Four were, they certainly understood what it took to make a mind bending single. "In My Life" is a vicious slab of freakbeat with a guitar sound that could almost be Sonic Youth! Devastating!!!!
