Item description

Forest of Equilibrium is the debut album of the British doom metal band Cathedral. It was released in 1991 on Earache Records. It is considered a classic of its genre.

This is a gatefold LP verison of this album. It comes with an original lyrics insert.

LP gatefold jacket: VG-
There are a few issues that forced me to give the jacket a low grade.
The front side has 3 major issues - 1st there are some marks near the left top corner, they look like a glue (see closeup photo below). Also, I believe that this LP has a Earache sticker in the right top corner. But previous owner peeled it off and a light mark has been left (see closeup photo below) - so that's the 2nd issue, although it's mostly visible at a specific angle, I didn't even notice it at the very beginning! The third is a creasing. The paper is a bit folded near the right top corner. This is also an issue inside the gatefold and on the back side of the gatefold - everywhere in the same place.
The right edge of an opened gatefold is a bit darker than the rest. Not sure if it was so originally or not, but I decided to report it as well. I couldn't catch it with the camera. There is also horizontal creasing at the very top of the left side (around 1cm from the top edge).
The back side has similar glue marks at the right top corner, but they are much much lighter than ones on the front side and I couldn't catch them with my camera. The earlier described fold/creasing is also here.

There may be a few light scratches here and there too, but other than that the gatefold jacket is in quite good condition for almost 20 years old record.

There is some creasing in various places, but overall pretty good condition, no serious damage.

Record: VG-
I've examined the surface under a bright light. There are many long, light scratches on both sides. Also some wear mostly near the outer edge. I don't see anything really serious. I'm almost positive I bought it a few years ago being described as Ex (from Italy, go figure!), but either I'm very conservative when it comes to grading (which is in general quite true!) or the seller was not telling the truth (I think he didn't do his homework). Anyway, the condition is still better than my other record on the auction which I graded as G.

Shipping rates

I would combine shipping in case you win more items. EMS is quite expensive when shipping 1 or 2 items, gets much better for more items.

Please note, that neither priority registered shipping (post-office) nor EMS (courier) are insured. Although none of my packages got lost for all these years (registered only, not even EMS), please keep in mind, that in case your package is lost, you will get back only a very small amount of cash in return. If you'd like additional insurance etc. please let me know. Not a problem for me.
