Caroliner DOUBLE LP Rings On The Awkward Shadow - Wire Spool Mastering
The hand made cover is in excellent shape although there is a split in the wrap-around paper where the records tried to get out. I find this variant of the cover to be particularly appealing in its colors and also in the paper used. The paper is lighter - approaching tissue paper qualities. I have placed the 2 records in quality replacement sleeves for safe storage and shipping. I don't grade hand-made Caroliner sleeves. I just say they are excellent because that's how it is.
The double vinyl produces great sound punctuated by imperfection. Along with some light surface scuffs/handling marks, the vinyl has some tiny dimples and pimples that contribute quite a few pops/clicks. This imperfection may be widespread for this release because my old personal copy of this record has them too. They are most noticeable on side one. Record 1 has a slight loose warp. The quality of the music is not affected by it, but it may contribute to some rhythmic background record noise. It is not uncommon for Caroliner records to be less than mint right out of the cellophane. It's just the way things are in the Caroliner world. If you can't tolerate a little imperfection, then Caroliner LPs might not be for you. I think the music produced by this record is of acceptable quality, but I also am an experienced Caroliner listener. I know - if you put the new Bob Dylan record pressed by Sony on the turntable, you expect flawlessness and usually get it. That expectation for Caroliner vinyl will only lead to disappointment. I don't know why that is. It just is.
When this was a new release 27 or so years ago, I found it very soothing for bedtime music. I recorded it to a tape and played a side at bedtime. The album sounds wonderful in half-consciousness. Well it sounds wonderful other times too, but when drifting off ... Ah! That might be from Caroliner dumping the music to an antique wire spool recorder before putting it to vinyl. It's something like listening to a record underwater.

If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.

When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. For international sales I use ebay's "Global Shipping Program" (GSP) for most items. With the GSP, shipping costs cannot be discounted significantly. Ebay does not permit shipping discounts with the GSP. I can ship multiple items in one package internationally, but any shipping discount will apply only to the USA part of the shipping.
