Description
Carole King Tapestry LP Promotional First Press RARE Vinyl.
This is the highly sought after promo version, not the gold foil stamp promo. This is the first pressing white/silver promotional label version, very hard to find (check Discogs for sales range).
The record itself visually is VG+ almost EX if not for a small mark near the end of side 1 (see photo) does NOT affect playback. Label is very slightly off center on side 2 (see photo), does not affect play other than it will make a scratch noise on the revolution in the dead wax space. Record plays strong VG, some light surface noise in parts throughout but it is not distracting, noticeable between tracks/quiet spots in particular. Side 2 is noisier than side 1, still a very enjoyable listen.
Jacket is VG due to the spine (see photo) and I guess the hole punch technically, though that is an identifier to this particular version. Cover has no writing and is really in fantastic shape otherwise.
Inner sleeve appears to be original, though is not hole punched so I can’t say for sure, but presumably they punched the hole before the record and sleeve were inserted. Sleeve is torn top left (see photos). Record has been stored in proper rice paper anti static sleeve.
