Description
Carol Grimes Ist cut acetate
This is possibly a unique ACETATE LP.
Fundamentally this is the WARM BLOOD LP but in a completely different order and I suspect with different takes. It also has a track that wasn’t on the LP called-and I’m guessing here-THINK IT OVER. One track ‘Don’t want you on my mind’-peters out with Carol saying ‘Sh*t’. The track listing on this acetate is as follows
A side
That's What It Takes
Wait For Me Down By the River
Think it over- this is the track not on LP
All for One
Ray, Ray, Ray
Somebody Sleeping In My Bed
B side
Southern Boogie
Don't Want You on My Mind
You're The Only One
Warm Blood
Lost My Faith (In Everything but You)
Taxes on the Farmer
High Hill Country Rain
I have said that it’s the A side simply because this is the track that opens the released LP. As you can see it doesn’t follow the issued copy at all. Because I don’t have the released LP anymore I can’t be sure but I don’t remember some tracks having count-in’s also it sounds rougher in terms of performance-and I am not sure all performances are the same- and I but I can’t be sure.
The LP looks very clean and shiny. Once or twice there is a small slip which may be due the cut-but it will be cleaned again. There is some background playing sound-more on opening track than anywhere-but it will be cleaned again but with items as rare as this you can’t always get perfect.
So the sound clip starts with ‘Think it over’ and continues with a couple more-as you will here they peter out at the end-indicating a rough take.
The label on one side has fallen off-which often happens with old acetates-I will reaffix it or you can.
Extremely rare and possibly unique 1970’s BLUES ROCK LP
Oh and just to show you the difference this is the track order of the released LP
