So, for sale by auction is......

ARTIST...................CRESSIDA
TITLE.....................ASYLUM
CATALOGUE No...6360 025
YEAR.....................1971 LABEL...................VERTIGO SWIRL / SPIRAL
MATRIX.................Side A,  6360025 1Y // 1 v 420 1 1 1    Side B,  6360025 2Y //1 v 420 1 1 1 The absolute first pressing with triple 1 endings.
(The v in the above matrix numbers represents a small inverted triangle)

The front of the sleeve has minor creases to the spine edges and a very fine score line in the center from about halfway down to the bottom edge. Almost no surface rub. There are 2 stickers that have been there since I bought this many years ago. I have never tried to remove them as they are part of the albums history and I thought they could be covering previous damage??. NO seem splits or repairs and only very light shelf wear to the bottom edge, the opening edges are very sharp without any feathering. The top edges are in great shape. The spine is strong and square and all of the information is clear. The inner gate-fold is undamaged without any unwanted writing or stains, just small glue dots that occurred during manufacture and is common to all sleeves of this era.

Please take a good close look at the pictures for more information on the condition. This sleeve is in very nice, collectable condition and my grade is a strong EX-.
The swirl inner bag is in nice aged condition, there is obvious browning from the ageing glue, but the original Polly liner is still intact and there are no splits. EX.

The vinyl has many fine hair line scratches on the surface of both sides that cause crackling most noticeable in the quiet parts of the music. There are no very deep scratches or obvious marks that cause the stylus to jump, skip or stick. There are some more obvious scratches that cause occasional clicks and pops some of which repeat on each rotation but only for a short duration. Saying this, the album plays all the way through without distortion, the playback is strong and loud. One of the best Vertigo swirl albums. An honest conservative VG for both sides.

The labels are clear and clean with no unwanted writing or stains, there are light spindle marks, very crisp and fresh looking. EX for both sides.

An extremely rare item and although a well played copy it still delivers great quality sound.

I WILL BE LISTING MORE VERTIGO SWIRL ALBUMS......

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

The best of luck bidding, Brian.
