"FOR THE RECORD" RADIO SHOW TRANSCRIPTION DISCS FROM THE SPECIAL SERVICE DIVISION OF THE WAR DEPARTMENT.  ONE COMPLETE 30 MINUTE RADIO PROGRAM ON THESE TWO 16 INCH, ONE SIDED, BLACK LACQUER ACETATE, 33 1/3 RPM DISCS.   THESE DISCS WERE RECORED FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY AND NOT AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, VERY RARE

"For The Record" radio program from October 30, 1944 starring Count Basie & His Band, Miff Mole & His Mixieland Six, Frankie Carle & His Piano.  It is mentioned that all of the songs performed on this radio program will be pressed onto V-Discs and sent to our troops overseas
