Description
1971 LP on the Dawn Orange label entitled First Utterance by Comus.
I wish I could say this is in similar condition to most of the Dawn LPs I'm listing - but not quite....
The vinyl is somewhat marked with several scratches. There is a very slight edge-warp in the disc but that does not adversely affect play. According to the Record Collector Grading system, it rates GD but can most definitely be played without sticking or jumping and heard very clearly. There are background crackles/pops at various times throughout (worse on side 2) but it remains extremely listenable and would no doubt improve for a professional clean.
The gatefold sleeve has fared a little better and I would rate as VG+. There is some corner wear and edgewear but no writing or tears - there is slight discolouration of the white areas. Inside is clean and very presentable.
There is no insert I'm afraid; plain white inner and very clean labels.
It is not a top example of what is an extremely rare (and very fine) LP but they do not come along very often and I assure you it is playable and if you take on board what I have said, you will not be disappointed.
