This is the FIRST ORIGINAL ULTRA RARE album from COMPLEX.

Released as a very limited PRIVATE pressing of ONLY 99 COPIES!!!!!

The COMPLEX line up was:

Recording engineered by G.H.A. at “107 STUDIO”. November 1970.

Catalogue number CLPM 001 (on the back record sleeve).

The original record sleeve’s unique feature is that it is a homemade design and lacks the professionalism of the major record company productions.

The production of the original sleeve is of a very thin/flimsy printed paper front sleeve cover, wrapped and stuck over a thicker printed cardboard back sleeve cover.

The thin brown outlines, that you can see on the pictures of the back sleeve are the flip over edges (front stuck to back sleeve).

This has resulted in both the top and bottom record sleeve edges, having large edge seem splits, with the top one having been repaired with tape (see pictures).

The top edge is still split from the right hand side of the tape’s edge to the top right hand corner.

The bottom edge seem split measures 24cms approx. from the right hand side record sleeve insert edge.

The spine’s edge in still intact and has no seem splits.

Overall the sleeve is still complete, and displays no other rips, no tears, no creases, no missing pieces and has an excellent flat appearance with no misshaping of the sleeve.

Apart from the odd surface wear scuff mark, the appearance is EXCELLENT (see pictures), however with the faults mentioned above, I would grade as VERY GOOD.

The record comes with the original white paper/poly lined inner record sleeve, which is in EXCELLENT condition, it is clean and complete with no rips, no major tears, no seem splits and no major creases.

There is a small 8mm paper edge tear, on one side of the middle of the record insert edge.

The original PART TEXTURED PAPER record labels are NEAR MINT condition with superb clear label print (almost just like new in appearance!), and only a few very light spindle hole marks, and with no spindle hole wear evident.

The record playing surfaces are EXCELLENT in appearance, and still retain there original bright deep glossy sheen.

The record has one visible light scuffmark (nothing you can feel!) on the record edge and partially on the first track of side two. There are a few very small, barely visible ultra light hairline types (only noticeable when held in daylight or under a strong bright light).

There are some faintly visible groove wear type surface marks, which appear on the 2nd and 4th tracks on the A-side and on the 3rd track on the B-side. The groove wear type surface marks are non sounding, with no loss or any deterioration in sound, when played over.

The record has been play graded and this is what you can expect.

There is some low level surface noise on the run in grooves. Some tracks displays some low level background surface noise (very light crackles and clicks) in places, however this is not continuous throughout play and only appears occasionally in parts of the tracks, when played.

There are a few tracks on the album with the odd occasional slightly more audible click in places.

Overall the album play grades EXCELLENT, there is no excessive surface noise, mostly minimal and very low level, with only the odd occasional more audible click in a few places, when played.

The album does not jump when played. 

As you will appreciate this is a very rare and very unique ULTRA RARE PRIVATE PRESSING, and can only ask any potential bidder, to appreciate that the record will be extremely well wrapped, and very well sealed!

Thick heavy duty cardboard and plenty of fragile tape!

The record sleeve and the record will be housed separately in PVC protective sleeves.
