Description
For sale here is CLEAR BLUE SKY--CLEAR BLUE SKY, origional UK pressing on the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL label. Released in1970, stereo 6360 013.
COVER.Gatefold format and un- laminated front and back. Designed by Roger Dean(his first I believe?)Printed by Howards of Slough.This is the VERY FIRST pressing, denoted by the red censorship stripe on the spine covering the words"PLAY IT LOUD",the colouring of the sleeve is also different as the creatures on the front and the towers are in GRAY not PINK. Please take note of the pictures below. Rare in this condition, it is very flat with hardly a crease to be seen, just a light one you realy have to look hard to see on the back . The spine and edges are in fantastic condition. The front is in EX condition with just the smallest amount of rubbing (very top right corner), the back sleeve is also in exellent condition , no writing, tears, seem splits or sticker residue. This sleeve is prone to discolouration and staining, but this one is FANTASTICALLY WHITE. . the opening edges are as new. There is a small amount of wear to the corner tips.The inside sleeve is also in superb condition. Overall this is in stunning condition for a 35 year old sleeve.EX+(It also comes with it's original inner sleeve EX+)
LABELS.. There are minimal spindle marks, but no stickers , tears or writing. EX+/M-
VINYL. Visually both sides are in lovely condition with very few light surface marks. Both sides still have their origional deep black shine . Both sides of this great album play without any clicks, scratches or jumps the sound quality is full and un worn. This really is a top condition item a real KEEPER for any collector.EX+/EX+(a professional clean could remove the very few dust crackles)
