PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Original An absolutely stellar U.S. two-LP package that digs deep into the Rolling Stones' vast array of tunes, this compilation was especially critical to the US market in the days before reissues. This is essentially the follow-up to 1971's Hot Rocks ; certainly one of the best group over-views ever assembled. However, in an unexpected and successful maneuver, the compiler of More Hot Rocks decided to liven up what would have been simply a second-tier assortment hits and near misses by including some fantastic, hard to find early material from the group. It's a formula that was also used to great effect on the concurrent Kink Kronikles compilation, but as this package covers an even greater time frame and contains more rarities than that highly rated Kinks collection, it's of even more value to the discerning rock 'n' roll fan.
And lets face it: even second-tier Rolling Stones hits pretty much eat the paint off of just about any other band's best work. So while only a handful of these songs still get play on "Classic Rock" radio, it's exactly for that fact that many reach for this album even more often than Hot Rocks 1. All of the songs here are just as great in their own way, but they haven't lost all meaning via overexposure on the radio and television.
The set starts off strong with "Tell Me", the first great Jagger/ Richards composition and their first US Top 40 hit in 1964. Next up is a rip roaring cover of the Buddy Holly standard "Not Fade Away", featuring some real heavy maraca shakes from Phil Spector-- The intensity of the early Stones is on full display! With its classic opening guitar lick, "The Last Time" shows the Jagger/ Richards songwriting partnership in full flower for 1965. Why this cut didn't make it onto the first Hot Rocks is a mystery, but it fits in just fine here. This is followed up in no short order with a raunchy "It's All Over Now" and the slow blues original "Good Times Bad Times"-- both originally from the 12 x 5 LP-- and the classic b-side "I'm Free" which showcases the band at their early ebullient best.
Side two demonstrates the Stones' enormous artistic growth during the years 1966 and '67. While some critics have accused the band of "falling behind" the Beatles, this all-time classic LP side shows that Mick and company to be just as creative as their peers from Liverpool during this stretch. The opening shot of Jagger telling his lover that she's "obsolete" on the timeless "Out of Time" is perfectly counterbalanced by the lovely baroque vision that is "Lady Jane". Similarly, the reflective "Sittin' on a Fence" (certainly one of the greatest of "deep cuts" the band ever laid down!) collides head-on into the out and out feedback frenzy of the deliriously twisted "Have You Seen Your Mother Baby, Standing in the Shadow?". These two sides of the Rolling Stones, the cynical and the wistful, the jaded and the optimistic, were perhaps never better balanced than on the 1967 non-LP single "Dandelion"/ "We Love You", which together closes out side two of More Hot Rocks in grand fashion. As stated previously, side two must rank as one of the best Rolling Stones album sides ever, compilation or no.
The album's third side covers the late '67-'69 era, where the albums were finally getting released with the same running order on both sides of the pond. Their Satanic Majesties Request ("She's a Rainbow" and "2,000 Light Years from Home"), Beggars Banquet ("No Expectations") and Let It Bleed ("Let It Bleed") are all represented by the most obvious of selections not already included on the first Hot Rocks. Sadly, the spatial limitations of the vinyl medium prevented the inclusion of such exceptional Stones chestnuts as "Citadel", "2,000 Man", "Stray Cat Blues", "Salt of the Earth" and "Live with Me". Thankfully, the non-LP b-side "Child of the Moon" is included here, for the first time on LP no less, bolstering side three's value considerably.
