NOTES: Cirith Ungol was a Californian heavy metal band who formed in 1972 and split up in May 1992. They drew influences from other metal groups such as Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, as well as Iggy and the Stooges. Their first album, Frost and Fire, was closer to a hybrid between 1970s hard rock and metal with songs written by then bassist and guitarist Greg Lindstrom and drummer Robert Garven, but from King of the Dead and onwards they played a progressive rock influenced brand of doom metal with songs primarily written by vocalist Tim Baker.  They took their name from the place Cirith Ungol in J. R. R. Tolkien's epic fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings. The name Cirith Ungol is Elvish and means "Pass of the Spider". While the place in Tolkien's book is pronounced "kirith ungol", the band pronounced it "sirith ungol". Near Mint (NM or M-) a nearly perfect record. No obvious signs, of wear. Only signs of slight handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Some signs of wear, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect play. Label may have some ring wear, discoloration but barely noticeable. Cover may show slight wear such as lightly turned up corners & slight seam split. LP cover may have slight signs of wear.
Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Groove wear will start to be noticeable. Labels may have writing, tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of sleeves or LP cover.
Good(G), Good Plus (G+) Record will play without skipping, but will have surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear.
Cover will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear will be evident.
