MUSIC EDUCATION RECORD COMPANY 141 New Montgomery St., San Francisco, California

Music Education Record Co  (MERC). MERC was a San Francisco-based company that specialized in educational records and tapes. The Mus-Ed Album No. P-1 was one of their most popular titles.

The album was designed to teach people how to play the piano. It used a combination of phonograph records and written music with instructions. The records featured a teacher who played the piano and explained the basics of piano playing. The written music provided the notes and instructions for the student to follow.

The album was a success and helped to popularize the idea of using audio-visual materials to teach music. It was followed by a number of other Mus-Ed albums, including "How to Play the Guitar" and "How to Play the Violin."
