HEADS FUNK " COLD FIRE" Original and Rare Funk / Rock LP from Port Harcourt, Eastern Nigeria. (NEMI(LP) 0224)LISTEN BELOW!
.. Heads Funk were yet were one of the smaller bands Funk /Rock bands out of Nigeria. They were from the same group of young Nigerian bands as BLO, Ofege, The Funkees, The Apostles, The Founders 15, Action 13, Ceejebs etc etc, that were playing Funk, Rock, Afro and Psych sounds in the early - mid 70's. This is one of their handful of LP's that came out in the Mid-70's - has one instrumental track "Funky Port Harcourt" and a bunch of Vocal tracks - I've included one of them as a sound sample here- "Cold Fire" the title track. Some have fuzz guitar - others don't. They can be heard on the links below. DON'T BE FOOLED INTO THINKING THAT THESE ARE SOME-HOW MASS PRODUCED BECAUSE THEY ARE ON THE EMI/ HMV label - most were only produced in small amounts (especially 45's) and not released at all outside of Nigeria. Vinyl is EX but the first track on side one "Intro" (not the best track) has a small mark that does click for the first few seconds - the rest of the record is in very fine shape. Cover is VG/Vg+ - see scans - has some ringwear. Any questions please ask....SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS AS SOME MAY BE LISTED IN DIFFERENT SECTIONS .
