Chopstick & Johnjon's track 'Roots' with soulful vocalist Signaljacker hears a fresh seven-minute reinterpretation from Cornucopia on Guy J's Early Morning label. The original track's rather moody textures get a nice wiretapping through Signaljacker's distinctive vocal rerun and Cornucopia's precise, forward-stepping production style. The original 'Roots' is heard again on the B for contrast, echoing the swelling wobbles of Bonobo and the 2-step, layer-designed handclaps and sonic pristines of Throwing Snow; while serving the listener a crucial pre-remix reference point.
