SECOND ALBUM from this great Canadian institution and presented as an expansive two album set with a variety of material ranging from solid hard rock to far-out progressive experimental psych. When you think about it it, its quite amazing that a band like Chilliwack were allowed the freedom to stretch out and deliver a double album so early in their career especially as they hadn't had any real success.
Side one offers a coherent selection of killer rock tracks including the memorable 'Lonesome Cowboy' and 'Ride-Out' whilst sides two, three and four are very experimental long drawn out compositions just as the sleeve notes explain "'Music For A Quiet Time' was performed by Bill And Claire sitting in an echo chamber for a couple of hours." Side four hosts just one track the prog psych tastic 'Night-Morning' - a free form journey into the unknown. Side two contains some more focussed tracks including the brilliant Jethro Tull-like 'Changing Reels' complete with forceful riff and super jammy guitar soloing.
If you've only ever been exposed to Chilliwacks later hard rock albums then this one will amaze you.

Cover: Only minor signs of use. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gatefold cover. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is stiff, straight and totally uncrushed. Promo hole top right. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 43 years after release. Grades as MINT-!
