MONO PRESSINGS~VRS-9216,9217,9218. - 1966 copyright on #1 & #3. I would guess so is #2. ALL THREE ARE MINT CONDITION - #'s 1,3 JUST OPENED, BUT IN ORIGINAL SHRINK - #2 STILL SEALED.Here is something every blues collector needs--the 3 LP set (sold indivdually originally, but you can aquire this set of the 3 volumes in oe shot). Chicago/The Blues/Today. Issued in 1965 this collection was an important catalyst in spreading the blues gospel to young people. Compiled by Vanguard Records stalwart Samuel Charters (who wrote a definitive blues text) these feature otherwise unavailable performances by Big Walter Horton/Johnny Shines/Johnny Young/Junior Wells/J.B. Hutto/Otis Rush/James Cotton and Homesick James.
