vinyl: NM-/VG++ (A beautiful example of this rare and highly sought after rockabilly classic! A very conservative rating at NM- honestly, as it looks and plays wonderfully. Shiny and clean vinyl with only a couple of very minor and barely visible surface scuff/scratches, not at all anything really noteable or visually noticeable, nothing that effects play. Plays strong and clean with no loud or distracting pops or clicks to be heard, with very little background noise; likely most of this slight background noise that is evident is from the original recording session due to the year of this recording and the equipment the studio had used at the time. This slight background noise goes away between tracks which supports this theory.) Labels on both side 1 and 2 both look great with no noticeable wear to mention. Spindle hole is tight. Original press "crownless" KING label! Please look at the pics for a better look. This record has seen very little play and has been taken very good care of. A top copy all around.)

cover: NM-/VG++ (Cover is in beautiful glossy shape, with no bends or ringwear whatsoever. Aside from two clean and minor 2 inch seam splits at the opening on the top and bottom seams and a little bit of wear on the upper left hand corner, this album cover looks quite minty! See the pics for a better look.)

This rockabilly holy grail is in wonderful shape in most every way! Plays strong and clean with no pops or cracks with very little background noise to be heard, which is really something amazing concidering the age and fidelity quality of this early recording. A real gem of a copy, played very little in it's life (I myself spun it only once to record for my future listening pleasure). For those that haven't ever heard this record: it's a sort of concept album that deals with hot rods and driving crazy, wild and wrecklessly around town (and even to hell in the song 'Hot Rod Hades'). Every song is a story of love and danger, sometimes love for women and sometimes love for cars, but most often for both. Copies of this highly sought after King Records Lp in VG condition have sold for well over 250 dollars in the recent past; I have set the reserve at a conciderably low 75 dollars on this one.
