Description

FIVE CHAPPELL RECORDED MUSIC LIBRARY DISCS:

Purchased from Record & Tape Exchange in Shepherd's Bush circa 1980, these discs probably came from the BBC Gramophone Library at the nearby Television Centre. Many surplus BBC vinyl discs appeared in this retail outlet following the introduction of CDs.

Chappell Recorded Music Library records were never available commercially, and were supplied to TV and film production companies for use as a cost-effective alternative to specially composed incidental music. These tracks provided a flexible source of high quality music which was relatively easy to clear for worldwide sales of programme material.

You are bidding on a bundle of FIVE discs. They are:

LPC 382-387: Fourteen tracks by the Queen's Hall Light Orchestra, including music by the great Charles Williams, Robert Farnon, Eric Siday, Colin Smith and Hubert Clifford.

LPC 494-500: Fifteen tracks by The Melodi Light Orchestra, including music by Eric Spear, Charles Williams and Eric Coates.

LPC 979-984: Sixteen tracks by Jos Cleber & His Orchestra and The Marc Laroche Ensemble.

LPC 1015-1019: Eighteen tracks by various artists including Johnny Hawksworth, Roger Roger, Pat Shaw and Roger Webb.

LPC 1035: Eleven tracks by Gina Nivelli, Roy Gubby, Stephen Duro, David Fanshawe and Paul Kass, played by Ole Jensen and His Orchestra.

These discs have been offered by other Ebay sellers at up to £15 each. This bargain bundle has a starting price of just 99p.
