PLAY  GRADED  RECORDS  USING A  STEREO CARTRIDGE  . THE GRADES MAY  IMPROVE IF  YOU USE  AN  APPROPRIATE  MONO CARTRIDGE .

NOTES:

1. Individual pressings may have tiny flaws original to the blank. This may have been due to dust in the air, or if the blank was made from some amount of recycled vinyl. This kind of noise is usually soft and in the background . The music will overwhelm it in most case s but some of it may be heard in quiet passages , between tracks , or sporadically during play. I look at the LP in the trail off area as well the grooves themselves in a bright light after cleaning for  visible  evidence  of  this  .  Records may have a play grade of NM and have some of this type of flaw. A Play grade of M- will not have any noticeable noise of  this type .

2. Records from this period can take some handling and mishandling without effect. ( Plays like a Bluenote ) Records may have visible marks, light scratches, and scuffs that are not audible during play. A record may play grade as NM but looks like EX or VG+.

Surface marks that do sound are usually more pronounced and forward in the music . Records with minor audible marks will usually get a play grades from EX+ to VG- depending on their cumulative effect
