Hi, my name is Brian and I have been collecting vinyl for many years. My main interest has been PROGRESSIVE especially the VERTIGO SWIRL/SPIRAL LABEL, reputed to be the most collectable label in the world?

I have finally finished my SWIRL collection of over 160 albums of which most are UK pressings, and now I am going to SELL them ( I must be mad ). I have been quite fussy about the QUALITY, CONDITION and they must be the VERY FIRST PRESSINGS. The latter has been the hardest to decipher and has had me buying and selling many copies of the same album to achieve this,and I almost have with these collectable gems.

I am now selling another..YES another set of UK swirl VERTIGO albums. PLEASE read the descriptions carefully as some of the albums are NOT very first pressings and some will be VERY FIRST white label promo's. But ALL are GENUINE UK SWIRL PRESSINGS. 

I am not and have never been a 'dealer' by profession, but I have always given honest descriptions and lots of clear photo's of any items I have sold. I do know how disappointing it is when you open that package and the item has been over sold with expressions such as "AWESOME" etc when the item is only in EX- condition or worse. If you are in anyway disappointed with an item from me you are most welcome to return it with a FULL REFUND, providing it is an honest and just mistake by myself as I believe in my descriptions.

For sale here is --CATAPILLA--CHANGES--UK ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING. 1972, stereo 6360 074 The 71st of 88 UK pressings on this label. MORE WILL FOLLOW!

SLEEVE.....GATEFOLD, GIMIXED and UN-LAMINATED. This delicate un-laminated surface is in GREAT condition. It is showing VERY LIGHT WEAR.   It is very flat and square. The colours are very strong and vibrant LIKE NEW. The top edge is N/MINT, the bottom edges are also N/MINT. The front is EX+ with  NO UNWANTED WRITING, NO STICKER TEARS, NO STICKERS AND NO STAINS just a small dink to the cut-out edge right of the word CATAPILLA. The rear  is in the same wonderful condition with  NO RING WEAR. The inner gatefold is graded as EX- the word CATAPILLA has been written in biro and there is a little surface damage caused by the sleeve having glue daubed on it during manufacture, left to dry closed and later opened to insert the album. this was not that uncommon and is really annoying. The opening edge is in lovely N/MINT condition with no tears and no feathering. There is spine wear but the information is fully readable. There is a tiny amount of wear to the very tips of the corners. This album comes with an ORIGINAL SWIRL INNER SLEEVE . All in all this is in wonderful condition for a 36year old UN-LAMINATED sleeve. EX.

LABELS.....There is NO unwanted writing, staining, stickers, residue or tears. There are very few spindle marks on either side, but this album has obviously always been handled with great care EX+/EX+

VINYL....Both sides of this fantastic album still have their JUST PRESSED deep black shine. When you hold this album in the very brightest of lights you can see VERY FEW, LIGHT surface hair lines which were caused by removal and replacement in and out of the inner sleeve, there is one nasty mark on side B towards the end of track 2 ( see close-up photo). This causes a few very soft clicks but NO JUMPS or SKIPS . In normal daylight this album is  N/MINT. I have played this album on my very sensitive and revealing LINN SONDEK and the sound is UN-WORN, it is full and crisp there is NO loss of sound quality at all, wonderful sound stage and stereo separation. There are VERY VERY FEW dust crackles that can be heard only in the quiet parts of the music or between tracks, but a professional clean should sort out most of that. These HEAVY VINYL original pressings are second to none. This really is a top copy that any collector would be delighted to add to their collection, a real KEEPER .  EX++/EX-
