CARL PERKINS - MOVIE MAGG - TURN AROUND on FLIP
Flip 501. This record is a well known very hard to find item. Goldmine price guide show it valued at $1000 NM, $500 VG+, $250 VG. It's all about condition.
Visually, there are lots of light superficial scratches on both sides. A couple of small deeper scratches are on either side, but not affecting play. I would say the tracks LOOK VG-. Labels are worn, as shown in pics, but no serious wear through the label, no tears, pics show condition clearly. I would say labels are VG. Notice the push marks like the old Sun labels have. (made in Memphis ?)
"Movie Magg" has light noise early, gets better and finishes with little to no noise. I believe I heard one tic or pop about half way thru, but was nearly smothered by the music. The music dominates. 45-F-18 shows in the dead wax.
"Turn Around" plays even better then "Movie Magg". There is some noise there also, but not as much. No tics or pops. The last half of Turn is almost noise free. The music dominates, once again. 45-F 19 is in the dead wax on this side. Notice no dash between the F and 19. ?
Overall, though the tracks look bad, they play much better then that. I feel that the record is better than VG, but I can't justify even VG/VG+. I will start the auction at the VG price.

Since I am in central Texas, equidistant from the east coast to the west coast to the Canadian border, shipping time to the lower 48 should take no more than 3 days. to Alaska and Hawaii, a little longer.
