Description

This is an auction for the fourth Lp by Caravan entitled Waterloo Lily released in the Uk on Deram in 1972 Catalogue Number Deram SDL 8. This is a rare first pressing on the Brown Deram label with the Matrix Numbers ZAL 11258-P -3W and ZAL 11259-P-3W. Side 1 has the earliest mother stamper of 1G. I cannot read the other stamper but i believe there is a G and a M.

The Vinyl is visually in Excellent+ condition with no marks visible. It simply looks superb. I have played the Lp at high volume and it was a real treat. It sits nice and flat on the turntable and plays through without any skips or jumps. The sound is very clear and vibrant throughout. There is some light background noise [even some Near Mint copies of this particular Lp have this for some reason] which i found does not detract from the music so i am happy to grade the Audio as Excellent. The labels are in Excellent condition with some small spindle marks.

The original gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. There is some storage wear to the corners and along the edges and a very small piece of writing [ 3 small numbers] on the inside but it still looks great when opened.

Overall and excellent copy of this superb rare LP

I use the Record Collector grading system to grade my records-please see below

The Lp will be sent in professional mailers and will be sent in the Uk recorded/special delivery at a cost of  £2.50. I will pay the extra. The cost of postage in Europe is £8.00 and will include international signed for as mandatory . Anyone bidding who does not have feedback will have their bid cancelled straight away. I am very sorry about this but this is due to problems experienced in the past. Anyone without feedback and who wants to bid please contact me first.

Grading:- MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT:
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc
