This is the UK 1st Press of 'In The Land Of Grey and Pink' by Caravan. This is a genuine and scarce BROWN Stereo 1st press and it is complete with the earliest P-1D / P-1D matrix, the rare brown and white Stereo Deram label, the original inner sleeve and Robert Stace laminated gatefold sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a few very faint marks on both sides but the vinyl still looks and sounds warm, vibrant and very clear. The brown and white Deram labels are marvellous. They are bright with sharp text, bold colour and only the very slightest spindle wear and a few spider marks. The record is complete with the original Decca polylined Stereo inner sleeve.
The Robert Stace gatefold laminated sleeve is in Very Good condition. The colours are vivid, the laminate has the most amazing mirrorlike shine and the image is sharp. There is a little corner and opening edge wear plus the sleeve has the slightest ripple. The unlaminated inside is exceptionally clean. The black is unworn and the white is bright. The edges of the sleeve are still firm and the whole sleeve feels very solid.
