Captain Beefheart- Trout Mask Replica LP, original Straight edition with Straight labels. Cat# 2 STS 1053. Trail-off etching reads "STS-1053-1 1A" Disgustingly MINT copy of this stone cold psych/experimental juggernaut.

Apparently most Straight pressings of this set actually were comprised of a 1053 gatefold containing the later labels numbered 2027 instead of 1053. For this reason the guides price this one considerably higher than all other pressing variations and it makes this the true first pressing/earliest edition.
Vinyl is MINT, not a mark or scratch, perfect, all 4 sides. I don't care what king of Mint-Freak you are, you will not be disappointed with the condition of this LP.
Cover is NM, Light ring-wear on lower-left front, a touch of corner-wear and some light creasing on the upper-left corner.
Comes in original black Straight inner sleeves.
Clean labels, no spindle-wear.
Modest opening bid and no reserve, unbelievably nice copy of this unbelievably scarce edition of this unbelievably important/amazing/godhead album. (I'm only selling this because I recently payed an unbelievably stupid amount of money for a sealed copy, which in retrospect had similar cover condition issues!!!)
