Description
CANNONBALL ADDERLEY "Somethin' Else" Blue Note 1595, RVG, P, DG Mono Vinyl
This is the 1958, first edition, Deep Groove, "RVG" stamped, mono, Laminated cover, "P"-pressing of CANNONBALL ADDERLEY's "Somethin' Else" on the "47 West 63rd" labels of Blue Note BLP 1595. Musicians include Cannonball Adderley, Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones, Art Blakey.
VINYL plays well, with consistent low-to-medium level surface noise (i.e, static, crackle, ??,????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. Ensemble sections are dynamic and strong with clean transients, powerful extension and clear tone. No Skips. No locked grooves. No distortion. Excellent gloss. Many hairline marks, four or so feelable (generally speaking, if you can't feel it, you can't hear it). The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd" labels show minor wear, with spindle marks. See photos.
LAMINATED COVER is in good condition, strong inking. Corners worn. Top and bottom seams clean. Spine very frayed, end-to-end, but not split. "BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 47 West 63rd St., New York 23, N.Y." back jacket shows aging, white-out, handwriting. Please see photos.
This LP was play-tested on a high-end system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC AUDIO DESK SYSTEME VINYL PRO CLEANER.
