A wonderful session of spiritual soul jazz – and one of the few records ever cut by reedman Byron Morris! The album is a gem all the way through – a modal mixture of grooving tunes that are driven by piano and electric piano, and which feature occasional vocals by soulful singer Jay Clayton. The session's got that freespirited and righteous 70s mode that Byron brought to his best work – and it's records like this that have kept him alive for years on the international groove scene. The whole thing's great, with loads of great tracks – including "Sun Shower", "Panamanian Aire", and the goofy "Eyewitness News Bluze"!
