Description

This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P” pressing of Bud Powell “The Amazing, Volume 1” on the Lexington Ave. labels of Blue Note 1503. The flat-rim playing surfaces appear to be mint, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated frame cover has the Lexington Ave., New York 21 address and is also in extraordinary condition: clean throughout, with just a single tiny chip on the front, at the opening edge, and slight rubbing along the bottom seam. Personnel include Tommy Potter, Max Roach, Roy Haynes, and Art Taylor. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------CHECK OUT the new book: "Blue Note Records, A Guide for Identifying Original Pressings" by Frederick Cohen.
