Description

Ultimate Bruce Springsteen record in ultimate condition.  This is the original, ultra-rare "Script Cover" of Bruce's breakthrough 1975 album Born To Run, in unbelievable NM+ condition.  Was obtained directly from the collection of Bill Freston, who was an Exec for Columbia Records in the 1970s-1990s and was one of the people who helped design this advance promotional package, which was delivered to select DJs and music journalists in the Summer of 1975 to generate excitement for Bruce's new record.  Bill had carefully kept this piece since 1975 and said that the vinyl has never been played.  It certainly looks amazing, with brand-new gleam for the heavy-vinyl 1A matrix from the Pitman Plant (from Pitman, New Jersey).  Vinyl grades NM+.  It comes with the original bag (which though intact, is slightly tattered as ANY bag would be after 43 years), and the original NM+ postcard, which lists the song titles (including "The Heist", which was the original title for "Meeting Across The River").  The cover has absolutely gleaming white surfaces, with impeccable corners, and grades NM-.  This record is sure to be the crown jewel in any collection, and is undoubtedly one of the finest in existence.  What more can be said about this? If you've been looking for the "perfect" Script Cover to add to your collection, look no further.  This would be the ultimate gift this holiday season, to be sure.  Packed extra carefully to ensure perfect delivery.  I will also do local pick-ups for anyone within the NYC area.
