Description
- MINT: In order for mint records to be considered mint by Goldmine standards, they cannot ever be played, therefore a mint record cannot be play-graded.
- NEAR MINT: A NM record may have been played a couple of times, but no more.
- may have very light non-existent or extremely minor.
- EXCELLENT: EX records should sound the same as a near mint records. There should be no surface noise whatsoever in either grade. The difference between NM and EX is extremely minor cosmetic defects that do not affect play.
- VERY GOOD++: Slightly more obvious signs of wear and handling. LP has surface noise that is noticeable in some spots. Possible noise in the intros.
- GOOD: This is a record that will at best play through without skipping. It will be in rough condition and may be noisy. Clicks and pops may be heard, but will not significantly disrupt the music.
- VERY GOOD-: Typically only going to be seen on a cover sleeve for a significantly rare album that is in extremely bad shape, noticeable surface wear. Still worth owning due to its rarity.
- FAIR/POOR: Cracked, warped, or skips. If it skips, it's this. Even if the rest of the records looks okay. This is the sound of my needle crying in pain.
