Description
For sale is Bruce Springsteen's Born In The U.S.A., originally released in 1984 by Columbia Records. This release is a promotional copy with a gold stamp on the back cover. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are the matrix numbers 3-BA/2-BD, followed by "RL" and "Masterdisk", indicating that an early stamper was used to make this record that was mastered by Robert Ludwig at Masterdisk, N.Y.C. All these dead wax etchings signify state-of-the-art engineering that are known for their superior sound quality, sought after by collectors and music lovers alike. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The lyric insert is Excellent with some creases. The cover is graded as VG+ because of faint ring wear, corner blunts and edge rubs. The spine has a tear a one corner with some paper loss. The vinyl is visually graded as VG because of one surface scratch, faint sleeve marks and scrapes around a white spot that someone tried to remove, about a third of the way through "Dancing in The Dark". I'm play grading this as VG because there was some occasional ticking on side one and six rotational ticks during "Dancing In The Dark". There was a little surface noise before and after this track. It's been played on state-of-the-art audiophile equipment while I owned it and still has a lot of life left to it. I have other Rock and Roll records, as well as albums of all different genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. Most of them are Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.
I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
