Description
Originally recorded in Chicago in 1973 but left unreleased for decades, Boscoe has become one of the most celebrated "lost" albums of the deep funk era. Blending heavy funk rhythms with soul, rock, and psychedelic influences, the group's lone album earned a devoted following among collectors before Numero Group gave it the wide audience it deserved with this outstanding 2006 reissue.
The Numero Group edition presents the complete album along with extensive liner notes that tell the story of the band and the circumstances surrounding these long-unheard recordings. Today, Boscoe is regarded as an essential title for fans of deep funk, rare groove, and independent soul, with standout tracks including "Written On The Wall," "He Keeps You," "If I Had My Way," and "Money Don't Have You."
I am selling the record collection I've built over the past 40 years. Over the decades, thousands of records have passed through my hands, and I've kept the best, cleanest copies I could find.
I understand record grading and the standards serious collectors expect. Every record is graded carefully and conservatively.
Please note that I do not photograph the playing surfaces of the vinyl. In my experience, photographs cannot accurately convey a record's condition and are often misleading. Instead, I rely on careful inspection, accurate grading, and clear descriptions. I stand behind every record I sell with my experience, my eBay feedback, and free returns if an item is not as described.
