Description




An original 1st stereo press of JWH on the UK CBS label from 1967. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Upton printed 1st issue sleeve [note the red stereo arrow logo atop the rear]. Also included is the original CBS advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great shape and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. A really top performer and delivers these classic tracks with aplomb. Very articulate audio on this pressing which does a fine job of rendering what are often low-key acoustic/percussive numbers. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect was a touch of lightest static in a couple of brief spots - that's all really. A real beaut..Please note the side 2 label has been initialled.
Cover (Ex+) Well, you're certainly not going to be able to source a better looking cover than this example. Truly a time-capsule shiny like new front with only two minuscule thumbnail creases. The rear, which is usually the problem area, is astonishingly well preserved. Don't think I've ever seen an example which is totally devoid of ageing or marks on the rear. A total one off if you ask me... Edge wear is pretty much non-existent and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. What a specimen! FINAL UPGRADE.
Inner (Ex) Barely any ageing. No edge splits. One start of a tiny tear at the die-cut central hole.
