BLUES FOR TOMORROW Scarce LP with five songs. One track by The East Coast All-Stars, another track by Herbie Mann's Californians. On Side 2, there is a track each by The Sonny Rollins Quartet, The Mundell Lowe Quintet and The Bobby Jaspar Quartet. These are new,previously unreleased versions of the blues played top modern artists, including Sonny Rollins, Herbie Mann, Bobby Jaspar, Mundell Lowe, Coleman Hawkins, Gigi Gryce, John Coltrane, Gene Quill, Jack Sheldon, Jimmy Rowles, George Wallington, Billy Taylor, Paul Chambers, Wilbur Ware, Elvin Jones, Ed Thigpen, Art Blakey and others
Original Riverside records pressing from 1957, blue label with reel & mike logo, a deep groove pressing, #RLP 12-243. Cover has a square spine.
The vinyl looks like it was never played and it plays great, it sounds beautiful, super clear and loud, Near Mint.
The cover has damage along the spine side of the paste-on, it's yellowed and stained, the corners are slightly rounded, a couple of nicks in the edges, no splits. Light ringwear on the back, and a price written on the back in pencil, VG+ (see pictures).
