BLUE BEAT IN MY SOUL
(UK COLUMBIA BLUE BEAT SERIES, SCX 6192, 1967)
VERY RARE ORIGINAL UK STEREO PRESSING of this excellent early ska album released on the short-lived Columbia Blue Beat imprint. All releases on this label are rare, and this of course is no exception. Every track on this album is brilliant - all guaranteed floor fillers and, thanks to EMI, it is in TRUE STEREO!! What makes this even more special is that is features future Demon Fuzz members organist Ray Rhoden, bassist Sleepy Jack Joseph and trombonist Clarence Brooms Crosdale! This hardly ever shows up - let alone in such nice condition! Great stuff! Hard to find these days! Don't miss out!
Vinyl is in EX condition : very light marks, plays well, has initials written on side 1 label
Laminated flipback sleeve is in VG condition : would grade better but some idiot previous owner decided to cover the whole sleeve in his own laminate slick so the front and back are covered in this slick - so technically the front is laminated twice! It has obviously preserved the sleeve and it could probably be removed but I have not attempted to do so. Apart from that, it could easily be an EX which is a shame - has initials and a number written on the back
