**** FREDDIE REDD QUARTET (1960) Music From 'The Connection' **** Blue Note Microgroove BLP 4027 U.S. Mono **** **** **** LP : VG+/EX **** COVER : VG+/EX **** **** **** Clean glossy vinyl LP shows only a few light surface scuffs which have little to no affect on play. I played this record LOUD from start to finish and it sounds really nice - just a bit of light background noise during quiet passages and the beginning of Side 2. This LP play grades at VG+/EX overall. The labels are clean with just a slight fade to the word 'Side' on Side 1 - see pic. The BLP 4027 labels state : 'BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC 47 WEST 63rd NYC'. In the trail-off area is stated : 'RVG' and 'BN-LP 4027 A'/'B' '. On the bottom of the back cover is stated : 'BLUE NOTE RECORDS INC. 43 West 61st Street, New York 23, N.Y.'. The LP COVER shows a very clean front with some fade wear on the back/lower back - take a close look. The spine and top seam are really great - just a 1/4" area of wear at the far right top edge/corner. The two corners at the spine are very nice. The bottom seam is also really nice except for a split for the last inch at the far right edge.
