Item Description:
Blue Note Records BLP 4011 (mono) - Jimmy Smith - The Sermon LP released in 1959. This is an original pressing. There is a deep groove under the labels on both sides of the record. The address on both of the labels is Blue Note Records Inc 47 W. 63rd NYC. "RVG" is stamped in the dead wax, both sides. The address on the back cover is Blue Note Records Inc. 47 West 63rd St., New York 23.
Personnel: Jimmy Smith, organ; Kenny Burrell, Eddie McFadden, guitars; Tina Brooks, tenor sax; Lee Morgan, trumpet; Lou Donaldson, George Coleman, alto sax; Art Blakey, Donald Bailey, drums.
The condition of the record is VG, there are numerous scuffs and light scratches on both sides of the record. Plays with surface noise throughout but is still enjoyable. No skips or pops. The laminated cover is in VG+ condition, no holes, seams and spine are intact and unsplit; there is an old price sticker on the back cover (visible in scan). There is writing on the back cover and on the side 2 label (see scans).
