Description
This is an early pressing of Blue Note 1528: Jimmy Smith 'At Club Baby Grand Vol 1.' on mixed 47 W. 63rd (Side 1) and 161 Lexington Ave. (Side 2) Labels.
The cover is VG- (Very Good minus) with minor tearing along the top front cover (shown), scuffing along the cover and seam (no splitting on seam), and a previous owner's name in pen on the back cover.
The record plays and is visually VG + with both sides having some slight scuffing/handling marks and side two having one stray needle mark.
The run-out or 'dead wax' of the record have the etched initials of sound engineer, Rudy Van Gelder (RVG), and the cursive 'P' or 'ear' of the pressing factory of date on both sides. Side 2 has the deep groove on the label indicative of some early pressings on Blue Note.
