Description

This is the original mono Van Gelder-stamped “P”-pressing of Blue Mitchell “The Thing To Do” on the “New York USA” labels of Blue Note BLP 4178. The playing surface is mint, with a high luster; perhaps played once. The coated cover has the “West 61st St., New York 23” address; bright and clean throughout, with slight foxing on the back slick. Original Blue Note inner sleeve included. Personnel include Junior Cook, Chick Corea, Gene Taylor, and Al Foster.
