Description

This is a complete 4-disc 78 RPM shellac album set titled Ballad for Americans, sung by Bing Crosby with the Ken Darby Singers and Decca Concert Orchestra, directed by Victor Young.

Issued as part of Decca Album No. 134, this patriotic oratorio was written by Earl Robinson and John Latouche, and recorded circa 1940. The album includes:

- Part I – Decca 3297 A
- Part II – Decca 3297 B
- Part III – Decca 3298 A
- Part IV – Decca 3298 B

All records are housed in the original gatefold album binder with paper sleeves. The cover features a vibrant red-white-blue design with an image of Bing Crosby and excerpts from the U.S. Declaration of Independence in the background.

Records appear in very good condition, with light surface wear and no chips or cracks noted. Binder shows some edge and corner wear, consistent with its age.

A must-have for Bing Crosby collectors, WWII-era Americana fans, or shellac collectors looking for historic spoken word and patriotic recordings.
