Bim Sherman – ‘Golden Locks’ / ‘Payroll’ – Scorpio (JA)
Exceptionally beautiful and very rare self-production on Bim Sherman’s Scorpio label. Impossible to find in any condition, a collector’s dream.Condition: Visually, excellent. Some slight scuffs and tiny marks, but generally giving an almost unplayed appearance. Listening to it, you will hear some slight distortion at times, particularly during the lines “Golden locks, blowing in the wind.” It may be inherent in the pressing – by the looks of it, this record has been played very little. In any case, this does detract, and I will have to rate it only VG. Dub version has a couple of clicks. Please listen to the sound clips and judge for yourself. Beautiful, hand-stamped labels, very slightly smudged and showing just a little wear (please see scans).
Please note that the slight hum on some of my sound clips comes from my record player’s shaky Earth connection, it is not inherent in the discs.
