Recorded 1952. Her 2nd Clef Lp and she is accompanied by Oscar Peterson, Flip Phillips, Charlie Shavers. Joe Newman, Paul Quinichette etc.
The record has the black and silver Clef label with "trumpet" and "Jazz At The Philharmonic, Inc.", deep groove on both sides.Visually, the record is a strong VG+. There are some light scuffs on each side, but no scratches. I played most of the record. It played with a light even hiss surface noise that was not intrusive and much quieter than other Clef and Norgran pressings of similar vintage. There was also light ticking, but not of the repetitive scratch type. It also seemed inherent in the pressing. Overall, the record played quite well for an early Clef pressing and for play, I would grade it a strong VG. The music was strong and played well above the noise.
The cover is VG. There are some spot of heavy wear on front and back. Top seam split app 2 inches at pocket and taped with yellowed tape. Bottom seam split app 1 inch in middle, untaped and 2 inches at pocket, taped with yellowed tape. 4 small pencil checks next to tune titles on back.
I attempt to grade records conservatively and accurately. Satisfaction is guaranteed, no hassles. I will ship record promptly, properly packed, upon receipt of payment. Payment is expected in 7 days. I can only accept Paypal as Ebay will no longer allow sellers to accept chedcks or money orders.

This record and all the other 10 inch LPs I am listing this week was play graded using a stereo cartridge. They would all play better and with less noise, using a mono cartridge.
