Description
This is the original deep-groove stereo pressing of Bill Evans “Portrait in Jazz” on the small (3 ½”) black and silver reel-logo labels of Riverside RLP 1162. The playing surface is in excellent condition, with a nice luster; just a single inaudible scuff on Side 2 and a peculiar circular patterning on the last track that looks like a pressing anomaly; it does not affect the clear and crisp audio. The coated cover is bright and clean throughout; the seams show neat repairs and superficial wear.
Personnel include Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian.
