Description
Another lost "Folkie"...this Betsy Legg LP is a rare gem from the 1970s recorded in my home town of Atlanta, Georgia. Wish I would have had her sign it at Dante's in Underground Atlanta!!!
She only recorded one self-released album in 1971 at KINTEL Studios, Atlanta, Georgia.
The record features 10 tracks that showcase her unique blend of rock and folk music. The vinyl is a 33 RPM first pressing with the matrix number PRP-4107-1 272101-A, and it comes in a cardboard sleeve with the original inner sleeve included. The inlay and sleeve grading for this LP is Very Good (VG+), and it has no label or release title.
The LP has a small scratch on Side 1 between tracks 1 and 2 but does not skip when played otherwise I would have rated it a VG+ using the below grading scale.
Grading Chart Used:
Sealed
Jacket sealed shut in shrink wrap; disc sold ungraded or "as is".
NM
Appears unplayed and will bear no marks, sleeve scuffs, or scratches. We seldom use this grade.
VG++
May have one or two visible imperfections (i.e. sleeve scuffs, faint scratches, or other superficial marks) that will not affect play.
VG+
A few visible imperfections. These may include sleeve scuffs, light scratches, or other superficial marks.
VG
Same imperfections found on VG+ records but in slightly greater numbers. Records graded VG and above will typically not have any scratches that are deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
VG-
A number of visible imperfections; the presence of a considerable number of light scratches will force a VG- grade, as will the presence of significant isolated defects such as scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail.
G
Pervasive imperfections of varying degrees including both light scratches and scratches deep enough to be felt with a fingernail. G+ and G- are used to indicate stronger and weaker copies within this range.
