Beautiful RVG Sonny Rollins Night At Village Vanguard Blue Note 1581 Deep Groove

Up for sale is a Vinyl version of "A Night at the Village Vanguard" by Sonny Rollins. This is an original Blue Note pressing, catalog #BLP 1581. It is a Deep Groove and has the RVG mark in the dead wax. Matrix numbers read: RVG BN-LP-1581-A / RVG BN-LP-1581-B. BOth sides have the "P" (or ear mark) after matrix.

Approximate weight of vinyl is 170 grams.

Hard to find pressing in FANTASTIC shape! Played it all the way through and it sounded amazing, easily a very strong VG+. 

Includes original inner sleeve which does have some wear and tearing (see pics). 

The label on side A has some staining (perhaps glue residue?).

The outer sleeve is also in fantastic shape. It has some scuffing and light ringwear. Light wear to corners. Tiny pen mark on back at top corner. A little discoloration along top seam. Bottom left corner on back has the paper pulled up slightly and that part of the paper has creasing.

Everyone has a different set of grading criteria... So, to avoid any confusion, here's ours! 

We basically follow the Goldmine Grading System

I do not tend to describe/grade the label on my records unless there is some obvious flaw... so if the label condition is important to you please ask me and I will let you know its condition!

Sealed: Only used for sealed records... Sealed records are assumed to be mint but, since they're sealed, I can't tell the condition for sure! It is good practice to guess the condition to be Near Mint.
Near Mint: Not perfect, but darn close! A very minor scuff and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve. Has been handled with extreme care. It should play without any noise over the flaw. The flaw should be very hard to see.
VG+: VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. Slight warps that don’t affect the sound are OK.
VG: Light scratches, slight background noise possible. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise won’t overpower the music otherwise.

Good: Record plays without skipping but does have surface noise. Scratches, scuffs and groove wear all possible on this condition.

All of our records are shipped in protective cardboard record mailers with cardboard backers on each side. Included with each record is a new plastic sleeve to keep your artwork safe!
